Christian Pulisic wondered if the Chelsea faithful could conjure up a fresh tune to sing to him during matches or trophy celebrations.
Speaking to The Athletic, Pulisic explained how he wanted to hear something different from the supporters than their usual carols.
Songs from the Stamford Bridge terraces take on a wide range of jingles, covering a broad spectrum of players and managers.
If you are fan favourite, achieved something significant or came through the academy, you’ve probably got a chant.

Some have many; your Lampards, Drogbas, Mourinhos and Terrys have a whole album of melodies to enjoy.
N’Golo Kante to the harmony of Gold by Spandau Ballet is a personal favourite.
Some only have one or two: Nemanja Matic, Samuel Eto’o and Franco di Santo to name a few.
Chanting for Christian
Pulisic falls into the second bracket, but would like to add a few more numbers to his collection.
The forward depicted the night after Chelsea’s Champions League victory, where he realised a new hymn needed making.

“To celebrate, we had a little celebration with family and friends by the hotel,” said the 22-year-old.
“We didn’t really celebrate it fully, but at least we had some fans in Porto.
“We saw them driving to the game and in the city. We could hear the fans from the balconies in our hotel room.
“I like the songs but maybe Chelsea fans need to find something a bit different from just “USA!” for me.
“I mean it’s great, but they can be a little more creative.”

Chris, if you have any ideas, please let us know.
Unfortunately, Chelsea followers haven’t been able to belt out ‘USA’ in the past two matches.
Their American attacker has been isolating due to covid protocols, meaning he missed the Arsenal victory and Liverpool draw.
He was also absent from his national’s sides latest international fixture, a 0-0 stalemate against El Salvador.
Hopefully by the time Pulisic returns, he will have a new chant ready and waiting for him.
