Belle Silva has apologised for her social media post during Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday.

The wife of Chelsea defender Thiago Silva put up a post on X that appeared to call for manager Mauricio Pochettino to be replaced.

However, she has now taken to the same social media platform to apologise for it.

Yesterday, Pochettino confirmed that Thiago Silva had come to him to speak about the matter.

This could be the Brazilian’s final season at Stamford Bridge, with his contract expiring in the summer.

Belle Silva apologises for Chelsea post

Belle Silva has put what she deems as an outburst down to passion and has apologised for it.

On X, she said: “I’m sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact. I’m passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I’m saddened by defeats. We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea!”

Chelsea fans frustrated right now

It is understandable that those who follow Chelsea every week are really frustrated at this moment in time.

The club’s last two performances against Wolves and Liverpool were shocking. It has left them 11th in the Premier League table, so of course no one is happy right now.

Pochettino has become a target for fans to aim their anger at, which is to be expected. As manager, the bucks stops with him.

This Chelsea squad is way too good to be in 11th place, so you can easily say that the former Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur boss is not getting enough out of it. That needs to change and quickly; otherwise, Pochettino is going to find himself in big trouble, if he is not already.

The Blues really should not be sinking this low under the Argentine.
