Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour has given huge praise to on-loan Blues star Conor Gallagher, who is spending the season at Premier League rivals West Brom.
Gilmour, 19, is one of the Blues academy graduates to force their way into the first-team scene at Stamford Bridge and the Scottish midfielder is a big talent.
He has claimed in a recent interview that he loves playing alongside Gallagher, with the duo often partnering each other in the Chelsea midfield at youth level.
Gilmour has been fast-tracked into the Blues squad, while 20-year-old Gallagher has gone down the loan route to aid his development.
“I played alongside Conor Gallagher. I love playing with him. He went on loan and did so well at Charlton, and then he went to Swansea, and now West Brom in the Premier League, and he’s playing every game,” Gilmour told the club’s official Youtube account.

The Chronicle View – Could we be looking at a future Chelsea midfield?
Aged 19, Gilmour already looks a player that is mature beyond his years and it’s not a surprise that manager Thomas Tuchel wants to keep him around the squad.
He is a deep-lying central midfielder that is an expert in possession and he reads the game so well.
Meanwhile, Gallagher impressed out on loan in the Championship last year and this season he’s making an impact in the top-flight.
He’s a box-to-box central midfielder that has been one of the shining lights in a West Brom side fighting against relegation, but most importantly he’s getting experience in the Premier League.
They both look like future Chelsea midfielders if their development continues, but the problem is the club will always be looking to sign top-class players in each position.
