Chelsea youngster Ian Maatsen made just his second ever appearance for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon.
It seems like he’s already earned the love of his new club’s supporters, too.
Ian Maatsen, 21, spent the first half of the season as a squad player at Chelsea.
However, the left-footer signed a new Blues deal in January and that came with a short-term loan swich to Germany giants Borussia Dortmund until the summer.
It’s worth adding that The Evening Standard reports that Maatsen’s new Chelsea deal includes a £35 million release clause that becomes active in the summer.

Dortmund recorded an emphatic 4-0 away victory against FC Koln this afternoon.
Maatsen’s start in Germany couldn’t have gone much better with back-to-back wins in the Bundesliga.
The on-loan Dortmund talent yet again started the weekend match in his preferred left-back position, albeit he did drift into central pockets at times on the ball.
His eye-catching performance included a great assist from inside his own half.
Plenty of Dortmund supporters on social media are all saying they’d love to sign Maatsen permanently.
One fan said: “We need Maatsen permanently no matter what. Baller.”
Another claimed: “Maatsen has the Dortmund DNA on how a fullback should operate… surely we’re not dumb to repeat the Hakimi mistake?”
A third posted: “i would pay the £35m for Maatsen bring that man in permanently.”
Another said: “With a two game performance, I’m already convinced by Maatsen. I think we should initiate efforts to have him on a permanent deal.”
A fifth wrote: “I’ve been extremely impressed with Maatsen. MOTM in both of his games so far in my opinion. Even with watching him for just 2 games I’m already convinced we should activate his £35m release clause.”
We can imagine Chelsea fans are pulling their hair out right now. Why wasn’t Maatsen given opportunities at left-back during he first half of the campaign?
It’s no surprise to use that Maatsen has slotted in effortlessly at Dortmund.
