Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic said he has known Chelsea manager Graham Potter for years and is looking forward to their reunion on Wednesday.
The Blues will soon visit Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park for the Champions League round-of-16 first-leg match.
For the underperforming Chelsea side, the in-form Dortmund side, who are on a seven-game winning streak, is arguably their toughest challenge yet in the competition.
A defeat or another draw will only put more pressure on Blues manager Potter, whose capabilities as a manager have been questioned by some fans and pundits after collecting just two wins in 13 Premier League matches.
Interestingly, Potter’s first hurdle in the Champions League knock-out stage is someone he is very familiar with.

“He was the coach of Ostersunds at that time,” Dortmund boss Terzic told The Telegraph when speaking about his encounter with Potter when they studied for the Pro Licence on the same FA Course in 2018.
“And if you listen to the story of how he went to Sweden and how he changed not only the culture inside the club but inside the whole city before he went back to the UK, then it is something very impressive.
“I really like him as a person and as a coach.
“It’s a crazy story if you see that five years ago we were on a course, and now we are facing each other in the Champions League.
“It’s an unbelievable story. We are always texting each other on the new roles, on important wins, and we are really looking forward to seeing each other.”
Terzic also added that he has kept in touch with Potter since the Champions League round-of-16 draw in November.
But at the end of the day, each of them is now managing one of the best clubs in Europe, so there will be no room for sentiment on Wednesday night.
