Brighton captain Lewis Dunk has sent a message to Chelsea’s Graham Potter and Marc Cucurella after Saturday’s 4-1 home win over the Blues.
It is safe to say it was a worse return to the Amex Stadium than what Potter and Cucurella might have expected.
Not only did they not get the best reception from the Brighton fans, but their former club also handed them their first defeat at Chelsea.
Brighton skipper, Dunk, who was clearly happy with the win, was more understanding of Potter and Cucurella’s decisions to join Chelsea, however.

“It was strange. It was the first competitive game against [Potter],” the defender told BBC Sport.
“We dealt with their threats well, and I thought we were outstanding in the first half. Overall we were the better team.
“We pressed well from the front and stopped them do what they do. We counter-attacked quickly and showed we could do it.
“Potter gave me a lot of help and improved me a lot. Hopefully the new manager can do more as well.
“I’m thankful to both of them [Potter and Cucurella]. They had an opportunity and chose to take it. That’s football, everyone has to move at times.”

It was pretty clear that Chelsea had a hard time dealing with Brighton’s high pressing in the first half, particularly with two wingers; Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic, operating as wing-backs.
Potter made a tactical switch at half-time, but it was too late.
Kai Havertz pulled one back for Chelsea before Pascal Gross restored the hosts’ three-goal lead in the final minutes of the game and put the game to bed.
