The father of Chelsea’s Reece James, Nigel, has claimed that his son will definitely not be leaving the club this season.
He told ‘The Beautiful Game Podcast’ that the full-back was left heartbroken after the disappointing season the club had.
With the side finishing in 12th in the league, no one had a more frustrating time of things than James.

He was unable to build on what has so far been a sensational young career, with injuries keeping him out of the side for long spells.
They also ruined his hopes of playing at the World Cup, where he would have surely been considered for a starting role in Gareth Southgate’s side.
James staying at Chelsea
Despite the tough times, James’ father has made it clear that his son will not be on the move at any time soon.
He said: “Reece is a top player so must clubs would want to sign him. Right now, and I don’t see anything changing, he’s a Chelsea player, and until Chelsea wants to sell him then you go.

“If they want him, his ambition is to wear the armband and captain the side. It broke his heart the season we’ve just had. It hurt him.”
This is a mentality that supporters will be a huge fan of, as they look to bounce back and deal with the adversity following the last campaign.
This is perhaps why some are so frustrated with the manner that Mason Mount left the club in, with it coming across to some that he has gone running at the first sign of an uphill test at Stamford Bridge.
