Callum Hudson-Odoi produced an impressive performance against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. After a difficult start to the season, the young winger looked back to his best in the 2-0 win, scoring the opening goal and causing problems throughout.
Since returning from a ruptured achilles, CHO has looked slightly off the boil. After the game, he revealed that the worry of re-injury has perhaps slowed down his progress so far this season.

As reported by The Evening Standard, he said: ”Obviously there are still times where I think to myself ‘if I get kicked on it like today what could happen’. And there are times where I think to myself if I do a certain movement it will go again.
”But now as days at training go by, I think if you’re confident and do your strengthening work in the gym, it will still be strong and nothing should happen to it again. I’ve been doing work every day with the conditioning coaches to ensure it’s strong enough and nothing else happens to it. I think I’m close to the point I was before.”

Chelsea fans will be hoping that Sunday’s game is a catalyst for a sparkling run of form for Hudson-Odoi. Lampard heaped praise on him after the game and he could become an extremely important player for Chelsea this season.
He has an impressive understanding with Reece James after years of playing together at youth levels. This could lead to the right side being one of the Blue’s strongest areas. Having a partnership like that between two players in the wide positions can be huge for a team’s success.
