Carney Chukwuemeka hailed one Chelsea teammate after the side’s impressive win against Barrow this week.
Chelsea recorded an emphatic 5-0 home victory over League Two side Barrow on Tuesday night, which booked their spot into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Speaking via The Athletic before the season started, Malo Gusto insisted it’s important a club like Chelsea wins trophies. Well, the Blues haven’t won silverware in the last two campaigns, so let’s hope this squad can end that mini drought this term.
The fourth round draw for the Carabao Cup will take place on Wednesday night as Chelsea wait to learn their prize for beating Barrow.

Carney Chukwuemeka hails Christopher Nkunku
Christopher Nkunku has uploaded an Instagram post after he starred in Chelsea’s cup success this week. The French centre-forward scored a phenomenal hat-trick to take his tally up to six goals from eight games across all competitions this season.
Nkunku celebrated his first Chelsea hat-trick with a post on social media, which included responses from teammates such as Carney Chukwuemeka.

The clinical one
We’re confident that the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson are going to put up good numbers again in the goal department. We’d rank Nkunku as the most devastating finisher in the entire Chelsea squad, though.
Nkunku’s debut season last year with the Blues was wrecked by injury, but he’s proven in the past his worth in front of goal.
The attacker scored 70 goals in 172 appearances for RB Leipzig before his move to west London. He’s starting to show this season his goalscoring instincts, too.
It looks like a toss up between Jackson and Nkunku for a spot in the starting line-up right now to lead the line. We’d guess that over the course of the long season there’s going to be plenty of rotation depending on purple patches of forn.
