The majority of signings made by Chelsea over the summer have proven to be very important for the Blues this season.

Enzo Maresca has integrated the new players very well, with him utilising the Conference League to give everyone in his squad minutes this season.

Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto are amongst those who have proven to play important roles already for the Blues this season. They have frequently been seen in the Premier League as a result.

However, some have been left wondering what the logic was behind some of the transfers, most notably in the case of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is Chelsea’s worst signing of the season

Maresca already had a good relationship with the midfielder as a result of their very successful time together at Leicester City.

Up to now, Dewsbury-Hall is yet to start a Premier League game for the Blues, and has only come off the bench on five occasions.

He has at least had more of a successful time in the Conference League. The Englishman has found the net twice and has been an ever-present starter in that competition.

With that said, this has not put an end to talk that he could be on the move despite only being at Stamford Bridge for months.

It has been reported that Chelsea will listen to offers for Dewsbury-Hall when the transfer window opens again, and that Maresca is not against that decision.

Manchester United and Tottenham are amongst those watching Dewsbury-Hall, with it feeling as if minutes are going to be impossible for him to come by in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia have nailed down the midfield positions at the club, and are all performing at an exceptional level that makes them near enough undroppable.

If he remains at the club in January, it is likely to be more minutes in the Conference League for Dewsbury-Hall for the rest of the season.
