A win is the minimum requirement as far as Chelsea are concerned when it comes to looking to achieve their goals this season.

It was said near the start of the campaign that the target set to Enzo Maresca was to achieve Champions League football, something that is now achievable for five Premier League clubs.

The Blues currently sit outside of those places, however playing early in the upcoming gameweek gives them a chance to put the pressure on their rivals.

The Toffees boss will be hoping to put an end to an unwanted record in West London as he continues what has been a very solid turnaround at Goodison Park.

According to BBC Sport, Moyes is without a win in 19 attempts at Stamford Bridge, a record only topped by his 20-game winless run at Anfield.

The report also goes on to say that it has been more than 30 years since Everton won at this stadium, with that victory coming in 1994.

Maresca has the chance to feature a Chelsea player for the first time in around three months which could end up being a massive boost to his side’s Champions League hopes.

Romeo Lavia is set to feature against Everton in some capacity after numerous injury woes have kept him out of the side for far longer than he would have liked.

His introduction could see Moises Caicedo return to the less familiar right-back position where he would invert into midfield, a role that has not seen the best of Malo Gusto and Reece James as of yet.

With critical fixtures against the likes of Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, a win is imperative against Everton to ensure they keep the push for top five alive.
