Journalist David Ornstein has claimed that Chelsea are keeping tabs on Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
He told The Athletic that the Blues are considering a move for the teenager instead of splashing the cash on Ivan Toney.
Ferguson continues to look an extremely promising Premier League striker, despite being just 19 years of age.

He has already scored a hat-trick this season, suggesting he really is amongst the better forwards in the league.
A lot have expected Chelsea to make a move for Toney in an attempt to fix their goalscoring woes in January.
However, Ornstein has hinted that Ferguson is one of a number of names who continue to be mentioned to him as targets.

He said: “If Ivan Toney isn’t currently among the top few on Chelsea’s list — which you saw I’ve reported — it’s hard not to think Osimhen probably is.
“I must stress I don’t know that to be the case, though. The potential cost of trying to sign him from Napoli (let alone the possibility they don’t qualify for next season’s Champions League) may complicate a potential pursuit for Chelsea and others. But he is in this bracket of strikers being looked at by all the top clubs.
“The likes of (Lautaro) Martinez, Sesko, Ferguson and Boniface get mentioned to me a lot by people who work in recruitment. Right now the demand continues to outstrip the supply.”
Toney is likely to be on the move either in January or the summer, with it unclear if Arsenal will be pushing hard to sign him.
However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea are keen to deal with Brighton in the transfer market again after the saga which nearly saw them lose out on signing Moises Caicedo last summer.
