Chelsea are still interested in signing ‘world-class’ winger if he wants out this summer

Reports from France have claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Neymar this summer.

According to Le Parisien, the Blues will look to move for the Brazilian if he makes the decision the leave PSG this summer.

It is not the first transfer window where Neymar has seemingly been available for sale, however he could now leave as part of a huge window of exits for the French champions.

Lionel Messi has already completed his move to Inter Miami, the MLS’ worst performing team right now.

There are very few doubts regarding the quality of Neymar, even if he is on paper approaching the latter stages of his career at the top level.

He has frequently been referred to in the game as ‘world-class’, and him making the move to the Premier League would no doubt be extremely interesting.

Now, it has been claimed that the Blues remain interested in a deal, but only if the player decides he wants to leave his current club.

Chelsea supporters will certainly have mixed feelings on this one. They will no doubt have a strong understanding that he is a player of quality you very rarely see in the game.

However, it will have to be weighed up against what the club actually need, as Mauricio Pochettino goes into his first season as manager at Stamford Bridge.

There is the ongoing transfer debacle surrounding Moises Caicedo, with him being singled out as the main transfer target for this summer.

While there is optimism that a deal will eventually be completed, it is likely not to be for cheap, and makes you wonder if enough funds will be remaining for a deal for Neymar if it does become a possibility.
