Chelsea will be looking to appease new manager Xabi Alonso with any signings made this summer, and advancing with interest in Arda Guler would be a great start to that mantra.
The Blues are preparing for bids for star midfielder Enzo Fernandez this summer, after he has made it no secret how much he wants to play for Real Madrid.
While Jose Mourinho is keen on working with Fernandez, they are already making moves to strengthen their midfield with the expected signing of Bernardo Silva.

Arda Guler is the perfect signing for Chelsea
Assuming there is still interest in the Argentine, there looks no place for Arda Guler in the Madrid squad, with his future up in the air.
It has been reported that Alonso has already been in contact with Guler regarding potentially following him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The young Turkey international, who is set to get his World Cup campaign underway against Australia in the coming days, has acquired a lot of praise in his time in Madrid.
Former Blue Antonio Rudiger is a huge fan of Guler, and he was one of Alonso’s preferred players during his limited time at the Bernabeu.
If Guler was brought in to replace Fernandez, there would be plenty of pressure on him to contribute with goal involvements.

Do you agree with them?
Guler impressed greatly in 2025/26
Despite by no means being a regular last season, he still notched up 20 goal involvements in all competitions.
He notably scored twice in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich, proving he has the ability to contribute on the big stage.
By handing Alonso the title of manager, he is expected to have a far bigger say on transfers than the likes of Liam Rosenior and Enzo Maresca were allowed.
If he does want to reunite with Guler, this is a deal Chelsea should be prioritising this summer.
