The ownership team at Chelsea have not been afraid to spend big money in order to get the team to the position they want them in.
Todd Boehly has overseen more than a billion pounds spent since coming in to the club, with the team unrecognisable from the one just three years ago.
There have been some real gems discovered by those responsible for signings at Stamford Bridge. The addition of Cole Palmer already looks one of the best in recent Premier League history.
Twice they have smashed their record fee to bring in a new midfielder. Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo joined the club in consecutive windows.

Chelsea hieracrhy delighted by Moises Caicedo
The Ecuador international has really come into his own under Enzo Maresca this season, summed up by his performance against Manchester United at the weekend.
Paul Scholes admitted after the game he’d love to play with Caicedo, as his general-like performance in the middle of the park was backed up by his sensational goal to level the game.
It has taken a while for the 23-year-old to be given the praise he deserves. Many Chelsea fans have been watching him dominate the middle of the park for months now.
However, Graeme Bailey has exclusively told The Chelsea Chronicle that the board are delighted with how good Caicedo has turned out to be.
He said: “The hierarchy are so delighted with how Caicedo is shaping up. Him and Fernandez got a publicity, and I think Chelsea believe up top that Caicedo copped an awful lot of stick last year, more so than any of the other expensive signings.
“They’re quietly delighted, they’re not coming out and saying ‘I told you so’, but they knew what a good player he was. Maresca, when he came in, I’m told thought that Caicedo could be the heartbeat of the time, and that’s exactly what happened.”
Questions over Enzo Fernandez
There are a few more question marks over just how impressive the signing of Fernandez has been, as he approaches two years at the club.
The World Cup winner currently finds himself outside the Premier League XI, with Romeo Lavia impressing in starts recently.
It feels as if Fernandez is going to need some big performances when given the chance to wrestle his place back in the side on a more permanent basis.
