Chelsea coaches impressed by Tosin Adarabioyo

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea coaches have been impressed by what they’ve seen from summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo so far during the early days of pre-season training.

It is understood that the 26-year-old defender has drawn plaudits from the Blues staff for his application and how quickly he’s adjusting at a new club.

Adarabioyo was snapped up on a free transfer this summer after he left local rivals Fulham.

The English centre-back arrives at Stamford Bridge with decent Premier League experience behind him, so it’s great to hear he’s settling quickly in his new surroundings.

Remarkably, at the age of 26, he’s one of the older individuals because the squad is stacked with talented youngsters.

Who will start at centre-back?

One of the most interesting decisions for Maresca to make is which two players form the starting centre-back partnership next season.

Chelsea have a great selection of central defenders in their squad, including summer recruit Adarabioyo.

Previously described as “fast” and “strong” by Pep Guardiola via GOAL, Adarabioyo would be a really interesting selection in defence.

He’s competing for a starting position with teammates such as Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill.

Now that Thiago Silva has left the club, it’s time for some new leaders at the back to emerge.
