Mason Mount is back in Chelsea training ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Leicester City.

Chelsea have confirmed on their official website that the 24-year-old star participated in Thursday’s training session.

The Blues confirmed their playmaker is training this week and available to face Leicester.

Mount, who’s missed the club’s last two games, has watched from the sidelines his side record back-to-back victories.

The attacking midfielder missed the league win against Leeds United with an abdomen problem. He was then suspended during Tuesday’s triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

For Chelsea, it’s vital they continue recent momentum this weekend when they travel to the King Power Stadium.

Mount has been such a key figure in the Chelsea squad during recent seasons, but he’s experiencing quite the dip in form this year.

He currently finds himself outside of Graham Potter’s best XI. However, a player with his quality is surely bound to bounce back soon.

It doesn’t make too much sense for Potter to change a winning team, so perhaps Mount may have to be patient for his chance to shine again.

There’s plenty of rumours flying around about Mount’s future during his challenging spell on the pitch.

The Guardian claimed this week that Chelsea are ready to listen to offers this summer for Mount, who could be available for just £50million.

Perhaps these next few months are going to be absolutely crucial in deciding the future of the Blues academy graduate, whose contract is due to expire in 2024.
