Chelsea could actually sign ‘outstanding’ attacker for half the price that they expected

Chelsea don’t look as if they are finished when it comes to making first-team signings this summer.

It looks as if the club are doing the best job they can in order to give sufficient backing to new manager Enzo Maresca.

This includes signing one of the players he got the best out of last season at Leicester City. It was claimed that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was added to the transfer shortlist after Maresca’s hiring.

Reports have stated that the Blues are keen on addressing their attack this summer still, after missing out on previous number one target Michael Olise.

It has been claimed that they are one of the Premier League clubs interested in Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.

Crysencio Summerville may be cheaper than expected

Despite it previously being reported that the Blues may need to pay a fee of around £40m to bring him in, Foot Mercato have stated that the price may well be down at around half of that.

There is very little doubt about the talent the Dutchman possesses. He has previously been described as ‘outstanding’ by manager Daniel Farke

However, the Blues will be aware that the likes of Liverpool have been linked with signing Summerville this summer.

Chelsea hoping Leeds have to sell

Chelsea may be looking to pounce on the fact that Leeds were unable to secure promotion to the Premier League last season, and have already seen one of their top players move to a top club.

Archie Grey has completed his move to Tottenham, and it remains to be seen if Leeds need to cash in on another of their top players.

If the Blues do not make the move, there will be plenty of hope that one of their current players in that position to step up.

There is hope that Mykahilo Mudryk can be a key player this season at Stamford Bridge, and it feels as if he needs a big campaign to silence the doubters around him.
