In the 2023 January transfer window, Chelsea signed Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco.

Benoit Badiashile arrived at Chelsea as a young central defender with a lot of potential. However, the 23-year-old has struggled to develop since joining the club.

His game time has been limited, partly because of injuries. Presently, Badiashile is out with a hamstring problem.

With it being two years since Chelsea signed the Frenchman, supporters have now been speaking about him on social media. Enzo Maresca does not expect Badiashile to be back until February.

Chelsea fans want Benoit Badiashile gone

When Badiashile has been able to play, he has not always impressed. The France international can be prone to the odd error, and it does not look like Chelsea fans are going to overlook that.

Plenty of them have taken to X to call for the club to get rid of him.

One Chelsea supporter wants to see the board dump him at Manchester United. They said: “Sell him to Manchester United please.”

While Badiashile has not been at Stamford Bridge for too long, another fan thinks now is the time for the former Monaco man to depart. He posted: “It’s his time to leave now.”

Another agrees, telling Chelsea to “let him go now”. These supporters are really not holding back!

One user on X wants Badiashile gone as soon as possible. They posted: “Sell asap”.

And finally, one supporter simply wants to know when Chelsea will be offloading Badiashile. They asked: “When is he leaving?”

At times, Maresca has tried to play Badiashile at right centre-back. However, for Jamie Redknapp, right centre-back is a position Badiashile is not comfortable in.

Benoit Badiashile had interest before injury

Had Badiashile not picked up that hamstring injury, the Chelsea supporters above may have got their wish.

Badiashile was being linked to several clubs, though there was no guarantee that Chelsea would have sold him.

Marseille were one club who were thought to have been interested in the Chelsea man. In fact, it was claimed that Marseille had opened talks about signing Badiashile.

Now that he is injured, though, an exit this month now looks very unlikely.
