Armando Broja was the late mover on yesterday’s transfer deadline day, completing his switch from Chelsea to Fulham.
The young striker has made the very short trip across London by leaving Chelsea and signing for Fulham on loan for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
Sky Sports reports that Armando Broja’s deal includes a £4 million loan fee, dependent on performance and appearances for Fulham in the next few months.
The 22-year-old forward struggled in the first half of this season, netting just two goals in 19 games for Chelsea. Let’s hope he enjoys more success at neighbours Fulham.
If you look back at how well he performed a couple of years ago during a loan with Southampton, this spell at Craven Cottage could be just what he needs to reignite his Premier League career.
Speaking via TNT Sports last night, Rio Ferdinand said he thinks Broja to Fulham could be a great signing.

Chelsea fans react to Armando Broja loan
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are all saying the same thing after Broja’s move was completed.
The major concern from the fanbase is that the club have let the Albania international go midway through the season without bringing in a replacement.
We hope the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson are enough for the second half of the season. Alternatively, we could see Cole Palmer fill in as a false nine again.
Here are some Blues supporters on X worrying about Broja’s temporary exit this winter:
One fan wrote: “So we’re getting rid of Broja on a loan, not gaining any financial benefit from it, no replacement brought in. So where’s the logic in that? Literally no benefit of doing it like this, what is the club doing?”
Another said: “Broja going on loan without bringing in a replacement is stupidity at its finest.”
A third posted: “Let me get this right… We went ALL IN on Jackson and Broja only to then send the latter on loan in January?! And NOT sign a replacement?!”
Another wrote: “Broja absolutely need a loan and more playing time to gain confidence.. But I’m not a fan of us letting a striker leave without getting a replacement in. Makes even less sense considering our injury situation now and until the end of the season.”
A fifth claimed: “Loaning Broja without any replacement… such bad leadership”
Another posted: “Despite Broja being a ghost in the team more times than not. I do feel its crazy we let him go and not even try to get a short team replacement leaving Jackson as the only natural 9.”
