Ruben Loftus-Cheek has posted a video on Twitter of himself in training action – and some of the Chelsea fans on Twitter have delivered an excited response to the post.
The 23-year-old posted on his official Twitter account himself training, which included him running and involved some ball work too.

He sustained an Achilles injury back in May just before the Europa League final victory over Arsenal and has had to watch on from the sidelines ever since.
Blues manager Frank Lampard is yet to have the central midfielder at his disposal, but it looks like the academy graduate is making progress with his recovery.

The England international played 40 games for Chelsea last season in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and supplying five assists in return.
He’s a special talent that has the potential to light up the starting XI when he returns, but teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi is proof that it can take a long time to fully get back to your best from an Achilles injury.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are over the moon with Loftus-Cheek’s update and are optimistic about seeing him early in the New Year.
It’s unclear on when he will be available to Lampard and fans may have to carry on being a little more patient.
But he could add an extra goalscoring threat from the midfield and when he’s on top of his game he’s a powerhouse that gets the Stamford Bridge faithful off their feet.
