Chelsea came from behind to beat Manchester City on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were really impressed with the display from Reece James.
The Blues beat Man City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium today in the Premier League, which is a massive result in the race for the top four.
Chelsea did collapse at the end of the first half, initially by conceding to Raheem Sterling in the 44th minute. Hosts Man City were then awarded a penalty immediately after, but Sergio Aguero was denied after a chipped effort straight down the middle.
Thomas Tuchel’s side came out though firing in the second period, and deserved to walk away with the three points that lifted them to third in the league table.
Hakim Ziyech equalised just past the hour mark with a powerful low finish, before Marcos Alonso netted in the 92nd minute with a fortunate finish after getting into the penalty area.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media believe that James was a standout performer.
The 21-year-old right wing-back was robbed of assists due to offside calls, as he showed yet again what top-class delivery he has with his crossing from wide areas.
Additionally, he tormented the left-hand side of the Man City defence all game by targeting Benjamin Mendy and Nathan Ake.
