Chelsea cruised to an emphatic 6-0 win on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup third round – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were impressed with Thiago Silva’s debut.
The Blues thrashed Championship opponents Barnsley at Stamford Bridge, which means they will face Leyton Orient or Tottenham in the fourth round of the competition.
Kai Havertz scored a hat-trick to get his first goals for the club and give himself a major confidence boost, while there were also goals from Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud.

A big talking point from the game was the fact manager Frank Lampard handed out two debuts, with England left-back Ben Chilwell earning a late runout from the bench and grabbing an assist with an excellent cross.
Silva, who joined on a free transfer this summer following his exit from Paris Saint-Germain, also played his first game in a Chelsea shirt.
The veteran defender played the first 61 minutes of the contest to help build his match sharpness and it seems only a matter of time before he’s in the league XI.
Silva perhaps showed some rustiness in the opening stages of the game by gifting away possession in one moment to an attacker, but apart from that it was a commanding display in defence.
The 36-year-old centre-back was visibly organising his teammates alongside him and showed a lot of quality on the ball, something he’s shown over the years for a dominant PSG team in France.
