Eden Hazard’s highest scoring season in his career was during his final season at Lille, when he bagged 22 goals.
But under Maurizio Sarri, Hazard looks to have a new lease on life.
Despite returning late from the World Cup, the Belgian has scored five in five, as Chelsea have started the season undefeated.
And following his hat-trick against Cardiff City on Saturday, Hazard’s name has been etched into Chelsea folklore.
His final goal was his 94th for the Blues, which took him past Barry Bridges on Chelsea’s scoring chart.
Therefore, Hazard is now Chelsea’s tenth highest scorer, behind George Hilsdon who has 108 goals.
As a result, he joins an illustrious list – one comprised of legends like Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and Peter Osgood.
Chelsea fans will be hoping Hazard can keep the goalscoring going, with Sarri releasing him from most defensive responsibilities.
And with this hot start, Hazard will be hoping to beat his highest goalscoring tally of 22.
Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to the the Belgians’ movement up in the clubs goalscoring rankings:
