Antonio Rudiger got 90 minutes under his belt on Wednesday night for his country Germany – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter reacted extremely positively to the midweek performance of their defender.
Germany beat Czech Republic 1-0 at home in an international friendly, with Luca Waldschmidt scoring the winner early in the first-half.
Rudiger, who is a regular starter for national side Germany, slotted into a back three alongside Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and Leeds United’s Robin Koch.

Rudiger has made just two Chelsea appearances across all competitions this season, but proved his match fitness by helping Germany keep a clean sheet against Czech Republic and he looked extremely comfortable in the heart of defence.
The 27-year-old centre-back is stuck behind teammates Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma in the Chelsea pecking order, but does appear to be back in favour with club manager Frank Lampard after two recent chances in the Champions League.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media praised Rudiger for his international display.
With Lampard’s side facing a busy fixture schedule after the international break, Rudiger should be optimistic of earning some more minutes when he returns to Stamford Bridge.
