Eden Hazard had quite the return to the starting line-up yesterday.
On top of scoring from the spot, Hazard dictated the attacking play of Chelsea, forcing Newcastle defenders to boot him up into the air in an attempt to stop him.
Hazard’s dazzling display earned him the Man of the Match award – his 34th since the start of the 2014/15 season.
Add that on top of the goal and two assists he has gotten from the bench in Chelsea’s first two games, and Hazard has had a very productive beginning to the campaign.
Hazard has been eased into the season by Maurizio Sarri having come back late from the World Cup with Belgium.
And as a result, the Belgian looks to be firing on all cylinders on his return to the starting line-up.
Sarri will be hoping it’ll be a sign of things to come, with Hazard vital to Chelsea’s success – or faliure – this season.
