Chelsea fans were impressed with Enzo Fernandez’s performance for Argentina in their 3-0 win against Bolivia.
Enzo Fernandez was able to grab a goal to help his country win the World Cup qualifier and some supporters are now hailing him as one of the best midfielders in the world.
Taking to Twitter to praise Fernandez, one fan said: “Enzo Fernandez is a joy to watch.”
Another added: “Shined on the big stage tonight.”
It looks like Fernandez is starting to find his shooting boots, with the Argentine recently opening up his account for Chelsea.
He scored the winner in their recent 2-1 victory against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup to take them into the third round of the competition.
Can Enzo Fernandez continue scoring goals?
Hopefully, and now that he is playing in a more advanced position for Chelsea, there will be an expectation for him to produce a bit more in the final third.
His main duty, though, is still going to be keeping the ball moving and creating opportunities for his team-mates, which he has done extremely well this season.
The Argentina international is currently making 2.8 key passes per Premier League game, the highest average in Pochettino’s squad (WhoScored).
Fernandez is a brilliant player and if he can start scoring more goals, then he really could end up reaching another level.
He has done a lot of travelling during this international break, so it will now be interesting to see if Pochettino starts the former Benfica man or leaves him on the bench when Chelsea take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
