Blues head coach Enzo Maresca has just excited plenty of Chelsea supporters by what he’s just said.
Enzo Maresca, 45, is going through his toughest spell since he took charge as the Chelsea manager in the summer of 2024.
In the last nine Premier League games, the Blues have only picked up two victories, which has resulted in them sliding down the division table.

Chelsea and Maresca are discussing summer transfers as the relationship continues to blossom. However, the pressure from the external noise is only getting bigger because of the team’s inconsistency.
Next, the Blues travel to Aston Villa on Saturday evening looking to respond to back-to-back losses versus Brighton. The Chelsea predicted XI against Villa does include a few changes as they’ve simply got to do something different to get back on track.

Chelsea fans praise Enzo Maresca’s mentality after his comments about winning titles
Throughout Maresca’s debut season at the club, he’s been quite hesitant to raise expectations on his team too much. Even when they were flirting near the top of the table back in December, Maresca said Chelsea couldn’t win the league title.
In fresh comments this week, the Blues head coach has come out with some fighting comments.
Maresca said via The Daily Mail: “I’ve never lacked ambition. I’m not here to survive, I’m here to win games. I’m here to bring this club to fight for titles. Arsenal have injuries. (Manchester) City have injuries. We are going to try our best to win games, even with the amount of injuries we have.”
We’re not surprised to hear that Chelsea supporters are reacting superbly well to Maresca’s quotes as he shows a more positive attitude.
Here are Blues fans on X applauding the new mindset…
One fan said: “This is the mindset he should keep up going forward.”
“Finally! The Maresca we all wanted!” another claimed.
One supporter claimed: “Sounds more like my manager.”
“Glad he’s starting to understand the kind of fans we have. Now back it with some wins and they will sing your name again,” another posted.

Chelsea have four massive league games before the cavalry arrives
The Blues have four Premier League matches left to negotiate before March’s international break, starting with a trip to Villa on Saturday. On paper, it’s two very difficult away days and two straightforward home matches, but the division can be unpredictable.

Maresca recently shared that Chelsea’s injured players should be back in April after the international break. That would mean welcoming back key figures such as Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana and Nicolas Jackson.
If they have a fully fit squad for the end-of-season run in, we’re confident there’s enough quality to qualify for the Champions League. In the meantime, they can’t allow themselves to drift too far away.
