Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 in what was a brilliant performance from Frank Lampard’s side. After a recent dip in form, the Blues needed a big win before Christmas to get their season back on track. That is exactly what they got, as they put recent criticism behind them to put six points between them and their London rivals.
A number of Chelsea’s team put in impressive showings, but fans were thrilled with one man in particular. The man who ‘hates Tottenham’, Willian, was superb in Sunday’s win. The Brazilian scored a sublime first goal before sealing the win with a penalty after Marcus Alonso was fouled in the box.

He almost capped off his day with one of the assists of the season. After delightfully plucking the ball out of the air, he flicked it up and released Michy Batshuayi in acres of space. Unfortunately, the Belgian fired over but it was sublime from Willian either way.
Chelsea have been linked with several right-wingers in the January transfer window. However, performances like that might force Lampard into a re-think.

The Blues boss will no doubt delighted with the result. A win against your London rivals to secure 4th place at Christmas, let alone the fact it came against a Jose Mourinho side.
The entire team put in a great shift, but Willian deserves particular praise. Here is what some fans on Twitter had to say about his performance:
