Chelsea are prepared to spend big money in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to plug the gaps which have become apparent in the first team squad.
The budget the Blues have to deal with is likely to depend on what level of European football they will be playing in next season, with them currently fourth in a season where five Premier League teams will qualify for the Champions League.

One position they are keen to address is the striker role, after it became clear there is no real first team backup to give competition to Nicolas Jackson.
The Blues felt the brunt of this in the two months the Senegal international was injured, where responsibility fell to Pedro Neto to play the striker role.

Chelsea rejected by top striker transfer target
While Chelsea will no doubt be willing to offer big transfer fees to clubs for their number nine this summer, they will push to not break the wage structure that has been put in place by Todd Boehly and co since taking over.
This is why they will have been knocked back by Victor Osimhen’s reported wage demands, with him one of the names on the shortlist.
It looks as if they could be about to scare off one target though with their structure. According to the Mail Online, one target’s agent has claimed his client will not be considering moving to the Blues because of how they pay their players.
The report goes on to hint that it has become a bit of a known fact in the industry that Chelsea are now on much stricter terms when it comes to wages.

Chelsea’s striker targets for summer 2025
As well as Osimhen, the Blues have a host of names on their list of potential signings for the upcoming transfer window.
Liam Delap is one of those who is high up on their list of targets, and they will be attracted to his reported relegation release clause should Ipswich Town go down this season.
The likes of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres have been mentioned in reports too, however they will all be touted by a number of top teams this summer.
There are a number of cut-price options available for the Blues too, with Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha a target of Chelsea too.
