It looks as if Chelsea are in for a busy final few weeks of the summer transfer window this time around.

It has not been uncommon for the Blues to do some serious business late in the day under the new owners. Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer were both signed on respective transfer deadline days.

Right now it looks as if a striker is high on the agenda, despite Nicolas Jackson being in line to return from injury tonight.

Youngster Marc Guiu has also impressed many during his pre-season campaign of the United States, however they seem convinced a new forward is the way to go.

One name they have been linked with at times this season is Dominic Solanke, who enjoyed a really strong campaign as far as his numbers went last time out.

Chelsea put off £65m Dominic Solanke

However, according to The Telegraph, any interest in a reunion with their former academy graduate seems to have faded away when taking into account the £65m asking price for his services.

Chelsea’s attention seems to have been fully fixated now on the potential addition of Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid.

It looks as if the sale of Conor Gallagher to Spain has kicked off a domino effect for a number of signings, and the youngster making his way to Stamford Bridge now looks a real possibility.

Chelsea fans not yet convinced by Samu Omorodion

Chelsea supporters are not too excited about Omorodion coming in, with many citing that previous target Julian Alvarez could well have been a better addition for a side looking to compete at the top end of the Premier League.

Solanke meanwhile looks like he is edging towards a move to fellow London side Tottenham, with him looking to build on the best football of his career that he was playing with Bournemouth in the second half of last season.
