BlueCo have been keen to make the most of opportunistic signings since taking over at Chelsea, and those chances don’t come much better than Mexico’s Gilberto Mora.

While there has been criticism aimed at the club for their transfer policy, there have been examples of generational talents joining the Blues.

Estevao Willian is set for a big future at Stamford Bridge, and there is plenty of optimism over what Geovany Quenda will bring to the squad next season.

Chelsea can sign World Cup star Gilberto Mora for just £20m

One talent who is coming through as one of the next best players in the world is Gilberto Mora, who has forced himself into Mexico’s starting side at the World Cup.

The report goes on to say that he has a £20m release clause in his contract at Club Tijuana, which is less than half the price the club have already paid for Quenda.

Supporters have pleaded with the owners to start making signings who can boast Premier League experience already, although these are the kind of opportunities they cannot pass up on.

Mora has chance to announce himself to Chelsea fans

Chelsea fans may get their biggest exposure to the talents of Mora in their next World Cup game, where they will host Thomas Tuchel’s England in the Round of 16.

The host nation have a significant advantage playing at the intense altitude at the Azteca stadium, and the youngster’s energy could be a decisive factor in the game.

Chelsea captain Reece James is facing a race against time to be fit after missing out on the Round of 32 clash with DR Congo.

It could be an occasion where one of football’s next stars puts his name in lights, and the Blues need to be watching closely to strike on the market opportunity.
