The final week of the January transfer window will likely see a number of sides test their luck in terms of raiding Chelsea’s large and talented squad.

Similar to last year, the winter transfer window has been a quiet one as far as the Blues are concerned. The only addition to their squad they have made has come from recalling Trevoh Chalobah from his loan away at Crystal Palace.

Plenty of players have been linked with departures from Stamford Bridge this month after struggling to get the gametime they would have desired under Enzo Maresca this season.

Despite the manager utilising the Conference League to his advantage to share minutes around, some are yet to even make an appearance in that competition either.

Four clubs want to sign Deivid Washington from Chelsea

One of those is Deivid Washington, who was signed for a fee of £17m with a lot of excitement surrounding what the future could hold for him.

Despite sporadic appearances under Mauricio Pochettino, the striker is yet to feature since Maresca joined the club.

For this reason he is likely to be on the move at some stage this month, and a number of clubs are intrigued by the prospect of signing him.

Journalist Vene Casagrande has stated that although Washington has his heart set on a move to Santos, four clubs in total are interested in a deal to sign him.

He said: “Santos is also trying to sign Deivid Washington on loan. Giuliano Bertolucci, the striker’s agent, met with Chelsea yesterday to discuss the matter, but the English team has been approached by three other European teams interested in the youngster. The representative is still trying to get him released to Santos.”

Despite Nicolas Jackson’s impressive season stats and the emergence of Marc Guiu as a good option for the Conference League, Chelsea continue to be linked with the signing of a new striker this month.

The Blues are seen as the favourites to sign Liam Delap, however Ipswich Town are desperate to keep hold of him as they fight to stay in the Premier League.

It looks as if Christopher Nkunku is not seen as a striking option by Maresca, and he could actually also be on the move this month amid interest from Bayern Munich.

It feels like bringing a new striker in is going to be a summer issue, and then the likes of Victor Osimhen are surely going to return to the scene as a potential target.
