Frank Lampard’s proximity to Stamford Bridge, both physically and emotionally, continues to fuel speculation about an eventual return to the Chelsea dugout.

Frank Lampard remains the ultimate embodiment of Chelsea, holding the record as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 211 goals. His relationship with the fans is unbreakable, rooted in 13 years of dominance, during which he won every major trophy available.

The former midfielder has also had two distinct stints in the Chelsea dugout. His first, beginning in 2019, was widely praised as he navigated a transfer ban by integrating academy stars like Mason Mount and Reece James, ultimately securing a top-four finish and an FA Cup final.

However, Lampard’s second spell as an interim manager in 2023 was far more difficult, coming during a period of deep instability for the club.

Where will Chelsea finish this season? Will they get a European spot?🤔

Frank Lampard in ideal location for the Chelsea job

Kaveh Solhekol, speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk, has shared an update on Frank Lampard.

He believes that he still lives near Stamford Bridge and is often a guest in the owners’ box during matches, even since departing.

“What’s interesting about Frank is that he still lives very close to Stamford Bridge. His family home is still there. And he still, when he’s got time off, he’s at Chelsea games.

“I’ve seen him in the owner’s box at Stamford Bridge. So I think maybe sometime in the future, I don’t think now is the right time for that to happen.”

Out of the managers we have been linked with, which one do you think might be able to get the very best out of Cole Palmer again?👀
