Everything about Mykhailo Mudryk is speedy.

His switch from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea was organised in the blink of an eye.

Todd Boehly and his team rushed the attacker over to Stamford Bridge right from under Arsenal’s nose.

He was quickly introduced to the home crowd at the interval of Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

After just a handful of training sessions, the 22-year-old was thrust into the matchday squad for Saturday’s trip to Liverpool.

It took less than an hour for Graham Potter to plunge the new signing into Premier League waters.

Mudryk is Mr pace merchant at Chelsea

Mudryk did not sink under the pressure; he swam to the surface with a confident stroke.

The Ukrainian international almost instantaneously got to grips with English football, which involved being scythed down by James Milner.

His movement, passing, dribbling and general play was all achieved with swift feet and fast mind.

But the quickest thing about Mudryk’s debut was quite literally the player himself.

According to Opta, Chelsea’s January recruit clocked up a sprint speed of 36.63 km/h at Anfield.

This is the top speed recorded in the topflight so far this season.

Mudryk beat the previous record by Anthony Gordon, who is being linked with a move to the Blues.

He also bettered the likes of Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, Erling Haaland and his own teammate, Denis Zakaria.

Hopefully it won’t take Mudryk long to fully settle and flourish at Chelsea.
