The turnover of players in the last two years or so at Chelsea has been nothing short of remarkable.
It has seemed a staple of new owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali to sign a plethora of players for both the present and the future every time they get the opportunity to.
Boehly reportedly considers this a fault of Eghbali’s, with it likely contributing to the ongoing feud going on between the two big players in charge of the club.
Despite the fact they are able to get a lot of their transfer targets over the line, there are some who they have really wanted in the past that have slipped through their fingers.
One of those is undoubtedly Jules Kounde, who looked all but set for a move to Stamford Bridge two years ago before instead favouring joining Barcelona.

Chelsea want Jules Kounde
It seems things have not worked out as well as they would have hoped, with Sport reporting now that Chelsea could be about to return to the scene to try and sign him again.
The report goes on to say that the Blues would have to cough up a fee of around £50m in order to strike a deal with the La Liga giants, a similar amount to what was paid for him in 2022.
Injury problems in defence for Chelsea
Chelsea are likely interested in the Frenchman due to his versatility, with him looking equally as comfortable playing at right-back as he does in the middle of defence.
There is a young look to Chelsea’s backline at this moment, with there still being an air of caution regarding the fitness and injury record of a number of players.
The Blues were without a natural right-back last week due to separate issues for Malo Gusto and Reece James, with the club captain yet to get his career under Enzo Maresca up and running.
