Despite the transfer window just closing for Premier League sides, Chelsea chiefs will be hard at work already to prepare for a busy summer.

January was relatively quiet by the Blues’ standards, with the majority of the big stories being around who left Stamford Bridge rather than who was coming in.

Conference League regulars Renato Veiga, Joao Felix and Axel Disasi all made loan moves away from the club, with their futures at the club all in doubt.

The Blues were linked to the likes of Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho, and these are certainly avenues that are going to be explored again when the window opens.

Chelsea scouts are going to be busy, and it seems their duties for the summer are already underway.

Something that has been crucial during transfer windows since Todd Boehly and co took over was that they were keen to add youngsters to their squad, either for the present or the future.

According to the Mail Online, they had a senior scout in attendance for AC Milan’s game at the weekend against Parma, which they won 3-2.

Christian Pulisic found the net, whilst fellow former Blues Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham also made appearances off the bench.

The away side have the seventh youngest side in Europe right now, and one in particular has caught their eye already.

Chelsea eyeing Zion Suzuki

Zion Suzuki was in goal for Parma, and has been mentioned as a player they are interested in signing at the end of the season.

Chiefs at Chelsea disagree with Enzo Maresca over whether the Blues need a new goalkeeper, with the manager putting a lot of faith in Robert Sanchez.

It has previously been claimed that a fee of £40m will be needed to sign Suzuki, although plenty of competition is expected for his signature in the summer.
