Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku has spoken for the first time since his injury blow by uploading a message on social media.
The Blues confirmed on their official website earlier this month that Christopher Nkunku, 25, will miss an ‘extended period’ with a knee injury he picked up in pre-season.
Journalist Dean Jones previously reported on GiveMeSport that Nkunku may be unavailable until the New Year because of his injury setback.
The Chelsea summer signing was looking very sharp and threatening during the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side will need to cope without him in attack for the months ahead.

Nkunku posted an upbeat message on his Instagram yesterday vowing to return stronger.
Eagle-eyed fans may have spotted Moises Caicedo, who signed for Chelsea this week, respond in the comment section with a heart emoji to his new teammate. Other past and present Blues stars sent messages of support, too.

Nkunku watched his teammates perform well in the 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
We couldn’t help thinking Chelsea were missing him in the forward positions, though.

Nkunku is likely to make Chelsea’s best line-up when he’s fit, so it’s going to be a while until Pochettino can field his strongest team.
However, the arrival of Caicedo from Brighton in midfield has given a huge boost to the XI.
We’re pretty confident now with how the Blues are shaping up in defence and midfield, so this team’s success this year is really going to be driven by how the attack performs. For now, others need to step up while French forward Nkunku is on the sidelines.
