Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez has gone from zero to hero in such a short space of time this season at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Fernandez, 23, has been under huge scrutiny since day one at Chelsea.

It’s coming up to two years for the central midfielder with the Blues, and you could argue he’s currently in the best form he’s shown in English football.

Opta Analyst has shared that Fernandez has played the pass before the assist – also known as second assists – more times (six) than any other player in the league so far this season.

It’s a great way to highlight that the 23-year-old is emerging as a key player in this Chelsea side, especially as an attacking force. The box-to-box central midfielder is encouraged to burst forward by his manager, something which is paying off now with plenty of attacking returns.
