Ruben Loftus-Cheek said Chelsea are looking forward to facing Liverpool again in another cup final this season after beating Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday.
The Blues secured their place in the final after a convincing 2-0 win over their London rivals with two of their academy graduates; Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount, getting a goal apiece.
For Loftus-Cheek, it was his first goal of the season.
The 26-year-old has played in various roles under Thomas Tuchel, including as a right wing-back recently, but this time he played a far more familiar midfield role.
He was unsurprisingly ecstatic to be back on the scoresheet.
βWay overdue!β the versatile midfielder told ITV Sport (via BBC) about his goal.
βIt has been a tough road with injuries and going on loan to find my form again but I always believed in myself and I always wanted to play for Chelsea.
βI have played quite a lot this season, I am happy.β

Loftus-Cheek also sent a message to Liverpool, who defeated Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final last month after a dramatic penalty shoot-out, ahead of the FA Cup final.
βWe want to get them back, simple as that,β he explained.
βIt was a fantastic game in the League Cup final and could have gone either way.β
