Tino Anjorin is still very highly regarded by those at Chelsea.

That is according to a report from The Athletic.

Tino Anjorin, who’s now 21, is a Chelsea youngster that joins the long list of super talents to develop through the Blues academy at Cobham.

Unfortunately, the attacking midfielder is enduring a tough introduction to first-team football with several injuries in recent seasons.

The Athletic claims that Chelsea still massively rate Anjorin as one of their super youngsters.

He was left off Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-season tour this summer, which did include a lot of youngsters alongside first-team regulars that impressed.

The report says that the Blues intentionally kept the English teenager back in London to improve his fitness this summer and to help with his injury issues.

It is understood that Chelsea certainly don’t want to sell Anjorin in this summer window, but they’re prepared to try give him another loan spell away from Stamford Bridge.

It looked like the 2022/23 season last year could have been a real breakout one for Anjorin in the Championship, starting the campaign well with eye-catching performances during his loan at Huddersfield. However, his final game for Huddersfield was last September after some horrid luck with injuries.

He’s played five first-team matches in Chelsea colours in the past, but he needs some regular starts at senior football to develop properly.

Blues defender Levi Colwill previously claimed that Anjorin’s “presence is remarkable”, as quoted by The Athletic.

The attacking midfielder has so much potential and can have a big future if he gets more luck with injuries.
