Chelsea have drawn Leicester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

Frank Lampard‘s men are scheduled to pay a visit to Leicester’s King Power Stadium over the weekend of 21 March.

It will be the third meeting between the two sides in FA Cup sixth round, with Chelsea came out victorious on two previous occasions (2012 and 2018) and went on to win the tournament.

This season, Chelsea have faced Leicester City twice in the Premier League and both games ended in a draw. Wilfred Ndidi cancelled out Mason Mount’s opener at Stamford Bridge in August last year (1-1), while two goals from Antonio Rudiger earn Chelsea a point in the reverse fixture in January.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said he “did not mind which side his team drew”. The former Chelsea head youth coach also said he was “happy to play at home”

Rodgers added (via Leicester Mercury): “It’ll be a good game. Whoever we got, it was going to be a tough game. Chelsea had a great result and a really good performance. We’ll relish the game at home and we’ll be fighting to get to Wembley.”

Both sides have had underwhelming form in their recent games. Chelsea had only two wins in their last six games, meanwhile, prior to the FA Cup fifth-round win over Birmingham City, Leicester were without a win in five games in-a-row.
