With Chelsea having a plethora of names on their summer transfer shortlist, they are already aware that they are going to be adding one of the most impressive young talents in world football to their ranks.

Estevao Willian will be available to the Blues this summer when he turns 18, and will join up with Enzo Maresca’s first team squad after the Club World Cup.

Until then, the winger will continue to feature for Palmeiras, the club who he has established himself as one of the best young players in world football at.

The Brazilian has shown his versatility in the new campaign, with Estevao playing at wing-back when the situation required him to.

He plays his best stuff as an attacker though, shown by his record-breaking goal contributions in the last campaign, breaking Neymar’s record from his first stint at Santos.

Sunday night saw him play a key part in another win for the Brazilian side, with him picking up a great assist in a 2-1 win over Fortaleza.

The assist was the attackers 10th in the league since breaking into the first team setup, adding to the double digits in goals he already has.

According to DataFutebol, Estevao has become the first player since the turn of the century to contribute 10 goals and assists in the Brazilian league before turning 18.

Chelsea’s plan for Estevao

The excitment surrounding the teenager in world football has very rarely been seen about a player before. Only Lamine Yamal ranked ahead of Estevao in a recent list of the most promising youngsters in the game.

It seems Chelsea are more than aware of his potential, with them prepared to utilise him as soon as next season in the first team squad.

There are even reports that Estevao could be a starter under Maresca at Stamford Bridge, with them set to assess their options with a number of wingers at the end of the season.

This is certainly the case for Jadon Sancho, with it yet to be known whether Chelsea will exercise their option to sign him at the end of the season.
