Despite the transfer window only just closing to Premier League sides, Chelsea have not taken long to get back to things in the market.
January will largely be seen as a missed opportunity for the Blues. It is hard to argue they didn’t get worse after the departures of the likes of Joao Felix and Renato Veiga.
Chelsea’s only permanent addition was young midfielder Mathis Amougou, however he is not expected to make an impact on the first team until he is loaned out to Strasbourg.
The Blues’ sister club are proving to be a useful tool when it comes to developing players with an eye to them featuring for Chelsea in the future.

Chelsea’s signing of Dastan Satpaev confirmed
This could well end up being the case for their latest addition in the form of 16-year-old striker Dastan Satpaev, who there was plenty of talk about Chelsea signing in January.
The Blues handed a trial to the Kazakhstan striker back in November, with them obviously keen to keep up the record of signing promising young talents under the new ownership.
It seems this period of time trying out to become a future Chelsea player has been a success to the point where the Blues were prepared to pay a record fee for a player from the Kazakhstan league.
The deal has been confirmed by Satpaev’s current club, with FC Kairat’s official website stating that he would join up with Chelsea in the summer of 2026 when he has turned 18.
Who is record-breaking Dastan Satpaev?
Satpaev joins Chelsea with experience playing at first team level already, despite only being 16.
As stated in the report confirming the transfer, he is the youngest ever player to make his debut for Kairat’s first team, featuring when he was just 15.
His goalscoring record coming through the academy is very impressive. In two seasons, Satpaev played 28 games, scoring 26 goals and assisting 10, seeing him pick up the award of most-valuable player.
Chelsea have a long conveyor belt of talent in the striker position coming through the academy, with first team players already predicting a bright future for Shim Mheuka.
