While the Club World Cup tournament may divide the opinion of the wider football audience, Chelsea have certainly enjoyed their run to the final.
The Blues are currently preparing to face Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s final of the Club World Cup.
Chelsea have banked roughly £86m for their success at the summer competition so far, which is some reward for a few weeks’ work.
Without a doubt, one of the standout moments from the tournament so far was when Chelsea beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the quarter-finals, largely because of the attention around Estevao Willian. The 18-year-old wonderkid scored a stunning goal on his final appearance for Palmeiras before he completes his move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Fastest Chelsea players at the Club World Cup, Estevao Willian above them all
It’s been revealed who the fastest players have been at the Club World Cup to date.
Interestingly, Chelsea have five names inside the top 20, including Christopher Nkunku as the highest-placed Blues star. Estevao, who’s about to join the Blues dressing room, has a higher top speed than any of them, though.
| Competition rank | Player | Club | Top speed (km/h) |
| 1 | Mads Bidstrup | Red Bull Salzburg | 44.95 |
| 1 | Eduardo Bauermann | Pachuca | 44.95 |
| 1 | Oscar Gloukh | Red Bull Salzburg | 44.95 |
| 4 | Estevao Willian | Palmeiras | 44.94 |
| Competition rank | Player | Top speed (km/h) |
| 5 | Christopher Nkunku | 44.93 |
| 11 | Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall | 43.96 |
| 14 | Marc Cucurella | 43.71 |
| 17 | Malo Gusto | 43.64 |
| 20 | Cole Palner | 43.54 |
Back in May, Pedro Neto claimed he was Chelsea’s fastest player, followed by Nicolas Jackson. However, the attacking pair don’t feature in the quickest stars yet at the Club World Cup, but perhaps they can change that in Sunday’s final against PSG.
The Blues may need every bit of their pace to deal with PSG, who play with such intensity and speed.

Estevao Willian to inject star quality to Chelsea’s forward line
Even though fans may need to be patient with Estevao when he arrives at Chelsea, it’s clear that he’s one of the most exciting young talents in the sport.
The Brazilian forward, who thrives a lot of the time on the right wing, has an impressive CV from his time in the Palmeiras first team. He didn’t look out of place at the Club World Cup, too.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| 83 | 27 | 15 |
Enzo Fernandez praised Estevao after coming up against the Chelsea signing earlier in July. Now it won’t be long before he’s the player creating for him.
With pace, trickery and directness, Estevao has the potential to light up Stamford Bridge next term.
