Chelsea’s Joe Shields may already have dropped hint over Roony Bardghji, who scored winner past Manchester United

Chelsea director of recruitment Joe Shields may have just dropped a huge hint that Chelsea are considering making a move to sign Copenhagen star Roony Bardghji.

The Blues man currently follows the 17-year-old on Instagram, which since joining the club has been a sign that he is very interested in potentially bringing them to Stamford Bridge.

Last night saw Bardghji announce himself to world football with his fantastic cameo display in the Champions League last night.

Despite a strong start for Erik ten Hag’s men, they found themselves holding on to a point in the final minutes of what was a must win group stage match.

The teenager made his mark though, scoring a fine goal with moments to play to send them on their way towards three points.

Even with the peculiar decision to bring on Mason Mount as a striker, United couldn’t find a way back into the game.

Shields drops Bardghji hint

It had been reported recently that the Blues were considering a deal for the youngster, however they will now be aware that the rest of the footballing world will have been put on note after what they saw last night.

Chelsea fans could see themselves as being in a good place however. Shields is important in the groundwork stages of a lot of their signings made during the Todd Boehly era.
