Chelsea are looking for depth in their squad during this summer transfer window, and have been handed a potential boost in their efforts to sign German star Said El Mala.
The Blues are monitoring the transfer market with an expectation that Enzo Fernandez will depart the club this summer amid strong interest from Real Madrid.
Fernandez has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants, although Chelsea are holding out for a substantial transfer fee to let him go.

Chelsea target Said El Mala set to leave Koln this summer
One part of his game that will be important to replace is his goals. Only Joao Pedro scored more for the club in all competitions last season.
Said El Mala is one player who has proven he can find the net. He scored 13 goals in 34 Bundesliga games from all across the attack, including attacking midfield.

It looks as if Koln are accepting that they are having to part ways with the promising 19-year-old, with journalist Rudy Galetti stating that they are awaiting the sale to facilitate signing Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh.
He said: “Köln have informed Tromsø that they are waiting to finalise Said El Mala’s outgoing transfer before submitting their expected €6m offer for Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh.
“As revealed exclusively, Leeds and Trabzonspor are also in the race for the Gambian defender.”

Chelsea very keen on El Mala
Chelsea met with the agents of El Mala last season in an attempt to convince him that Stamford Bridge was the best place to move to this summer.
The player’s mother has given her blessing for her son to join Chelsea, however there have been doubts over whether they will sanction it for the price Koln are asking for.
It has been reported that they are holding out for around £39m for the teenager, a price which could be difficult for the Blues to cough up.
They are facing financial restrictions when it comes to transfers this summer after missing out on all forms of European competition.
