The Club World Cup final felt as if it was the crowning moment at the end of two glorious seasons as a Chelsea player for Cole Palmer.
Frequently looked to as Chelsea’s go-to attacker, he stepped up to the plate against PSG with two sensational first-half goals before assisting a third for Joao Pedro.
Even PSG manager Luis Enrique had to praise Palmer after the game, with his side of Champions League winners not being able to deal with the brilliance of the England international.
He was a danger all throughout the tournament, however was not the only Blue to impress despite the testing conditions in the United States.

Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Marc Cucurella named in Club World Cup Team of the Tournament
In the group stages, Pedro Neto was the star performer for Chelsea, and his hunger and desire to keep opposition full-back Achraf Hakimi quiet in the final paid off.
This helped Marc Cucurella focus on containing just Desire Doue, and he did this to perfection as the talented young attacker struggled to make an impact on proceedings.
The trio have been recognised for their performances by WhoScored. Palmer, Neto and Cucurella have all been named in their Club World Cup Team of the Tournament.
Palmer was the highest-rated player in the side, and this backed up the decision to award him the Best Player trophy at the conclusion of the final.

Neto makes statement to Enzo Maresca
Enzo Maresca is going to have a serious headache when it comes to selecting attackers for the 2025/26 season, which gets underway in less than a month’s time.
Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian are going to be in contention for a place in the starting side on the wings, while Pedro can also feature out wide.
However, Neto’s performances at the Club World Cup have only strengthened his case to start the first game next season against Crystal Palace, despite the new talent eager to impress.
There will be one less area of competition in the squad after the departure of Noni Madueke, who left the camp just hours before the Blues were crowned champions of the world in order to join Arsenal.
