Chelsea fans must be disappointed that we’ve not seen more of their Player of the Season so far at Euro 2024.
Cole Palmer, 22, went into this summer fresh off a remarkable debut campaign as a Chelsea player.
The versatile attacker got 25 goals and made 15 assists in 45 games across all competitions for the Blues.
Unfortunately, Palmer has still found it difficult breaking into the England side.
He’s not started any of England’s four matches that the Euros. The youngster did come off the bench in the previous two games, though.
Next, England face Switzerland this Saturday in the quarter-finals.

Cole Palmer shares which position he’d like to play for England
Palmer is used to playing as a right-wing or a No 10. If you get him on the ball in the final third, he can usually produce the magic going forward.
Interestingly, the Chelsea star has shared he would prefer to play on the right flank.
Some England fans have suggested shoehorning Palmer into the XI as a left-winger, but he doesn’t sound too keen on that idea.
When asked what position he’d like to play for England, Palmer told talkSPORT: “Anywhere near the net.”
“Maybe not on the left but maybe as a right forward. I don’t mind the left, though.
“Sometimes I like it when I go across the pitch then go on the left for a bit to get the ball in. Sometimes it is pretty fun on the left.”
Chelsea vs Arsenal battle
If Palmer wants his preferred spot in the England line-up, he’s got the huge task of trying to dislodge Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
One small win for the Chelsea ace is that he came on to the field as a right-winger during the last-16 victory over Slovakia.
It was interesting to see Saka moved over to the left-back to accommodate Palmer.
