The England international is likely to play a big role under new manager Enzo Maresca, and could find himself featuring more regularly in a new position.
It has been claimed Palmer could see a lot if his minutes centrally next season, where he will be allowed more freedom to work his magic.

According to The Telegraph, his new deal will see him on par with the wage brought in by Enzo Fernandez following his big move 18 months ago.

He has previously been described as ‘gifted’ by Andy Townsend, and is set for a big season under the new manager.
Fernandez to be a vice-captain
Fernandez is going to be named as one of the vice-captains at Chelsea this season, and could well be donning the captain’s armband for the league opener against Manchester City.
Reece James is going to miss the game off the back of both a suspension and injury, whilst last season’s vice-captain looks set for an unenjoyable season.
Ben Chiwell is reportedly frustrated with his situation, after it seems that he is not in the plans of the new manager going into the new campaign.
